Young people are very welcome at St Mary’s. Our space is a relaxed and welcoming environment where we want young people to be free to be themselves.

Hot Chocolate Outreach

Last Year, we started our first hot chocolate outreach in partnership with Hope Church and Christ Church Highbury. This was a chance for us to connect with St Mary Magdalene Secondary School students. During this outreach event, students were able to receive free hot chocolate and gingerbread biscuits on behalf of the church. Each cup had an encouraging scripture from the bible which students could take home.

This Easter we had our second outreach, and we handed out more than 130 cups of hot chocolate to students on their way home. The next outreach event will be in June, so do check back for more information.

Cats Protection Guest Speaker

This spring term, we had a guest speaker from Cats Protection visit our Youth Club. It was such a fun and engaging talk that allowed our young people to focus on the work that Cats Protection does. We also discussed what it takes to look after and own a cat.

We highly recommend this organization if you are planning to adopt a cat, or would like to educate your students/youth groups on cats. For more information, please visit their website: https://www.catsprotectionshop.co.uk/. Thanks once again to our guest speaker.

Volleyball with Christ Church Highbury

This spring term, our young people got to participate in a game of Volleyball with Christ Church Highbury youth club. It was great to come together and connect over a game of volleyball. Thanks to Tamika Armstrong from Christ Church Highbury for setting this up. We hope to connect with them and Hope Church more over 2026.
