Our first free concert, on Friday 19 January, is titled: The Life of Saint-Saëns and will feature competition-winning pianists Daisy Ou and Connor Heraghty in performances of two works by Camille Saint-Saëns: Danse Macabre and The Carnival of the Animals as well as Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit by Bach/Kurtag.
They will be joined by actor Joshua Shea (most well known for his role in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald), who will thread poetic interludes into the programme.
Daisy and Connor formed The London Piano Duo in early 2023 and recently won first prize at the 4th Recondite Armonie International Piano Competition in Italy. They are represented by Piha International and will be touring on cruise ships in 2024. Forming after their time spent at The Guildhall School where they first met, the piano duo showcase not only four-hand music but also, collaborate with other artists to create cross-disciplinary programmes that are interactive and immersive. Most recently, they performed with actor Joshua Shea. Concert venues they have performed at span across the UK and Europe.
