Eco tip: Saving energy

Saving energy

There are some easy ways of saving energy and cutting your bills: limit your shower time to 3-4 minutes; switch off anything on standby; don’t use your tumble-dryer; insulate the hot-water tank; find draughts and block them; in summer particularly think before you open the fridge door to reduce the time it is open; only boil as much water as you need immediately; reduce the number of washes and do them at 30°C; turn off lights whenever possible; turn off heating in a room not used and shut the door.

The St Mary’s weekly newsletter features regular eco tips.
