Thank You from Choices

On Sunday 30 March, St Mary’s hosted a donation day for Choices Charity to support their Mother’s Day 'she-hero' or 'shero' campaign.

A 'she-hero' or 'shero' is a woman who is admired for her courage, achievements or resilient qualities and the team at Choices Charity know many of them. From the women who turn to Choices for counselling support to the women who access baby items in their boutique, the appeal celebrated the amazing, everyday sheroes who courageously reach out for help through Choices’ different projects.

Huge thanks to all those who donated donated toiletries and care packages for mums and caregivers at the donation day. The items received went straight to families, supporting them at the start of their parenting journey and beyond.

Sophie Guthrie-Kummer, Choices CEO, said: “Thanks very much to everyone at St Mary's for your help with the March Appeal. As a whole it was really successful, we've received over 100 individual items through the Amazon wishlist and loads more from Sunday church collections, as well as just over £800 in cash donations.”
