Evening of poerty and music celebrating God's creation

  • St Mary's Church Upper Street London, England, N1 United Kingdom (map)

We are delighted to welcome you to St Mary's for an evening of music and poetry celebrating God's creation. The event will feature performances by the St Mary's Church Choir alongside musicians from our church community and local ensembles: Islington Choral Society, the UCL Chamber Music Club and the Morley College Folk Choir.

This promises to be a joyful evening and will include excerpts from Haydn's Creation, as well as poetry written by St Francis of Assisi, Akhmatova and Dickinson, Keats and Komunyakaa, Levertov and Li-Young Lee – all read by members of St Mary’s congregation.

Refreshments will be served.
