Eco tip: reduce your consumption

World Overshoot Day

1 August 2024

Did you know that 1 August is World Overshoot Day? The calendar date on which humanity's resource consumption for the year exceeds Earth’s capacity to regenerate those resources that year. World Overshoot Day has been moving earlier since the 1970s, reflecting our increased consumption of Earth’s natural resources.

By reducing your meat consumption, car use and aeroplane travel you can contribute to an essential reduction in consumption of natural resources which will protect our planet.
