New tree planted in Church Gardens

We have a new tree in the St Mary's Gardens. Our gardener, Alex, Rev James and Shane all helped plant our new crab apple tree on the north east side of the church yesterday.

The crab apple tree is a symbol of fertility and a forager's delight. They are associated with love and marriage and its small, hard fruits make an exquisite, jewel-coloured jelly.

We are looking forward to see it flourish.
